My Grand dog Bailey ,and my Grand cats Chloe' & Zoe' they are learning to get along,still not in the same room.Once in a while they pass each other on the stairs.Or they are nose to nose with a gate in between them.

We were lucky to go to visit our friend Rosemarie at her Bay house on The North East River in MD. I get up early so I was blessed to see this beautiful Sunrise on Labor Day.

OK this is maybe the last time I post pics of the winners from 08 Goshen Fair from our S&B group. Kate got 1st for her lovely socks. I am wearing my Poncho that got 1st on the chair is the stripe tote bag made from plastic bags which got 1st place. Also on the chair is my Bee hive hat and my green scarf which both got 2nd. Erika is wearing my Beehive hat. I am also in a pic wearing my 3 button shawl made from sugar & cream cotton.

Well this year I got 1st place for my knitted Ribbon Poncho , !st place for my Knitted tote bag made from plastic bags, I had cut up .For my knitted scarf & knitted Bee Hive Hat I got 2nd place. New to me this year I entered Photos and I got a 4th place with my Sunrise pic ,it was taken down at the North East River in MD.

Gas Prices!!!

OK I know I am old now, I can remember going out as a teenager and chipping in to get 50cents or a dollar worth of gas. It's now over $4 a gallon!! When can these prices stop! The price of food is getting just as bad. It's very upsetting.So glad Fred and my parents aren't around to see this. Dad McCann lived thur the Depression and I know this would have been rough on him. boy I hope things get better,SOON! Enough of this go on and have a nice day

My friend Connie and I got to spend another lovely afternoon at Longwood Gardens!We had lunch on the Terrace then did some walking, we got to see the Water Lilly Ponds they were GREAT!!!! We even watched the wonderful fountains!!!

Tara turns 7!!!

Tara turns 7, I can't believe that. she has come a long way from 1 1/2 lbs and 3 mo early. What a blessing she is. We went to The Texas Road house her choice, what a nice time we had. Michael,Kelly, Tara ,Alicia Fred and me.Tara got to sit on the saddle for her B-Day. The food was good! I love having my kids together.

We had a nice wk end Fred played handy man to to one of our friends. Her clothes dryer was smelling like something got in the vent and died. Well he took it apart and took the dryer tube outside and shook it and out came yes, a rabbit, a mouse and 3 frogs all dead!!! Rosemarie had to go outside and see if he was kidding, not me I believed him!!! We have laughed about that all wk end Poor critters. Alicia came down and we did some retail therapy, had a good time.I love to see her smile and laugh.Our friend Joan had a party with all of her family and we were included,what a nice time,telling the next generation stories from our youth. Alicia got to spend time with her friend Taryn (Joan's daughter ,2mo older than Alicia) she is going thru a divorce too. Got some more cleaning done Yea! Very nice wk end finished my prayer shawl for a friend.

Well I got good news this wk from the surgeon I just have to keep up with the 6mo deep mammograms.The bruising and discomfort should go away soon. Boy is that a weight off my mind.Soooo keep up with your mammograms!!!!It is hot out today maybe around 84.Cleaning out the porch UGH! Enjoy this lovely day

Today was a lovely one .Had lunch with 3 dear church friends.It's soooo good to have girlfriends!I kinda feel crappy, I know I'm thinking about my test results, they will be fine.It's just the waiting. Soooo glad I have S&B tomorrow night, I just love my younger girlfriends.Still knitting prayer shawls and swiffer covers. I used my swiffer today and love the new cover, did a nice job.Found a new knitting site thanks to Stitches with Style, they talked about "Cocoknits" what a nice site.Need to collect Target Bags to knit a shopping bag from them. Looks cute.

Spring Is here?

Spring is here or at least was the past few days in the 70's today in the 50's. I love my flowers. Tara was here yesterday and she loved picking them. Well I had my Mammatome biopsy on Fri. It was not as bad as a deep compression mammogram. Today I am deep purple bruised around the whole area. REMEMBER to get your yearly or your every 6 mo mammogram! I go to the surgeon on Thur's for my ck up and results I hope. I do hope we have a nice Spring this year. I started another prayer shawl for another friend , the color it Tudor by Lion homespun. Am making chicken soup today, from the chicken dinner Mary brought us, she is a dear friend.

Next phase of Life

Alicia has started on her next phase of her life and I wish her all the happiness in the world. Yesterday we packed up a good amount of stuff from her marriage, with the help of Molly , Brian, Karl ,dad and me we got alot done. She unloaded 2 car loads while Fred and I were at church. Love that Girl!She came out to breakfast with us and our Church Buddies,I think that was good for her, nice to see her laugh. We are soooo Blessed with such wonderful friends.When we got back to the house we moved furniture around so we can fit some of her furniture in I think the computer room will look nice . We still have use of the dining room table and we can still wall around not bumping into things. This will all wk out. It was a good day. Kelly called and I got to talk to Tara they are feeling better.I can see Alicia is going to be fine, we just need to take baby steps and not move toooo fast. You never stop being a Mom.

Easter

Easter came early this year,will not come this early for 100yrs. Alicia came came down and we went to a friends house for breakfast ( with an egg hunt for the kids) and dinner . We took a naps between meal. made a cute Peep sunflower cake I got the recipe from Taste of Home,Feb&march. Boy was it a hit . Still having a hard time with Alicia Evan getting a divorce after18 months .a friend of ours called it a bittersweet time and that's it in a nutshell. Fred and I raised a bright, strong beautiful young woman and this will pass and she will get on to the next stage of her life!She knows that she has lots of good thought coming her way. Michael, Kelly and Tara came down last night . Tara is getting soooo tall still not 40lbs yet. They had a great time in Disney.Went to the Dermo dr today one spot frozen on my face and a cyst removed from ny finger,not to bad back again in 6 mo.

Well I played snow bird for two wks. YEA!!! I can see see why seniors do it . I few down with Fred's cousin Barb ,who has a sister & BIL and her brother living down there. In the same park my cousin bought a place then add 2 more of Fred's cousins and a wife. well let me tell you we had a GREAT time!! We saw the manatee's ,gators the gulf of Mexico, yarn shops, quilt shops tea shops , shopping, flea markets.lots of eating out, lunch by the pool ,sewing club, lots of knitting time brunch at the Grand Floridian with Mary Poppins, Alice ,the Mad Hatter, Winne the Pooh and Tiger too. I hope next year Fred would go down with me , will see. Michael Tara Kelly, her mom &sister are due back today from Disney it was Tara's 1st time can't wait to hear her stories. Crazy wk,went for my 6mo & yearly mammogram and next wk need to see a surgeon, it will be fine.Went to Ortho Dr as my "Good"knee went out around my Florida time, he is the Dr who did my right knee replacement 5 yrs ago, well now my left knee needs one, I told him I wanted to try the Snvest shots 1st, so now I have to get approval from Blue cross. Spring has sprung and we could have snow showers tomorrow.I'm ready for warmer weather!!!

Stitches With style 16-East Polly Drummond Shopping Center Newark Delaware 302-453-8130 It is the Greatest!!!! BJ and I went there Sat, Lauren met us there. When we walked in they greeted us and asked if we had brought any knitting with us. They have the most places to sit and knit I've ever seen in a store,even a play area for kids. Their selection of yarn is wonderful. ! We got there at 11 and next thing we knew it was 2!!!! Then Bj took me to a Korean Restaurant It was good food.
